I was amused by this quote from Mary Lynn Rajskub, who plays Chloe on 24. Apparently she used to do poetry slams:
Or was he 2 authors, one for each type -
one full of funny and one full of gripe?
When I first started performing, I was very uncomfortable. One night I got a few laughs when I wasn’t trying to be funny. That set me on a mission to see the humor in myself and follow a path to getting more laughs, often along with being uncomfortable. One of the very serious poets was upset because he felt he had lost me to comedy. “Really, Mary Lynn? Comedy?” And I never turned back.My mind goes to Shakespeare, author of both comedies and tragedies.
Or was he 2 authors, one for each type -
one full of funny and one full of gripe?
