Batty Story

I think Mike Nolan had fun writing this story. Italics added:

'After a handful of bats were discovered last week in the obstetrics unit of Palos Community Hospital, the incident, since contained, has given birth to a host of rumors the Palos Heights hospital is trying to bat away.'

And, 3 paragraphs later:

'Still, he said, "there have been a lot of rumors" flying around, including emails circulating that say the entire hospital is closed.'
