Welcome Home Poem

My wife has returned from the East,
where she traveled with our daughter,
on Virginia's Skyline Drive.

So I'm glad, to say the least,
for it's not the same without her,
even though I did survive.

The kindly wifey must be touched
You'd write this poem about her;
The rhyme, however, makes me wonder
If your daughter is a doubter.
